Hot Chip Transmission (Joy Division Cover) music mp3 covers

Is it just me or is Hot Chip churning out some fantastic covers lately? Their grown-up electronic rendition of Vampire Weekend’s “Cape Cod…” with Peter Gabriel was one of the finer moments in cover-song history, and now their take on Joy Devision’s devious “Transmission.”

In the hands of Alexis Taylor and Joe Goddar (Hot Chip in the studio), Ian Curtis’ jam goes to a whole other, retro level. This cover — along with many other fantastic covers — will be featured on Warchild’s Heroes compilation. The MP3 and the tracklisting below:

Hot Chip – Transmission (Joy Division Cover)

02. The Kooks (The Kinks: “Victoria”)

Yeah, if you like this one also check out Hot Chip’s cover of Don & Sherri by Matthew Dear and their cover of In The Morning by Junior Boys. Especially the first one of those is excellent, their best cover imo.
