No matter what you guys think, Kevin & Bean from LA’s 106.7 KROQ always deliver. Kevin & Bean’s most recent deviation was the Foo Fighters‘ new single “The Pretender” due out September 10th. After the world exclusive premier on KROQ, “The Pretender” has literally flooded the internet, so naturally you can download it, pretty much all over the place.
The song is anything and everything you expect from the Foo’s; the classic Foo Fighteristic rawk anthem sound, heavy riffage, and Devid Grohl’s signature vocals. A true Foo Fighter classic that has me weting my pants in anticipation of Echos, Silence, Patience, and Grace due to hit stores September 25th. Lets hope the heaviness we happily ate up on “The Pretender” is all over their new album aswell!

Oh yeah, I can see this working for me. I mean, it’s not “Everlong” (the version of which on “Skin & Bones” is incredibly, by the way), but I’m going to like this track. Thanks for posting it — yours is actually the first link I’ve seen to the new song.

This is a pretty cool track…I liked “The Best Of You” as a lead single for In Your Honor and this is a little different, not as radio-friendly, but still another sick-awesome Foo Fighters song. September 25th can’t come quick enough.

i got scared from that lead guitar in the first verse that they were following Trent Reznor’s lead and trying to reinvent themselves as hipsters, but that chorus is awesome. there’s some actual energy in here…
