I’ve wondered if I was the only person who is taking Japanese Cartoon seriously and as a legitimate musical project. I probably am.
Lupe Fiasco or not, I hope to hear an album full of Japanese Cartoon tracks. Luckily a couple of PMA readers dropped this new track, “Firing Squad” onto my gmail inbox. It’s actually pretty good. Not as good as Heirplanes or AMY, but it still keeps me excited and hopeful for a Japanese Cartoon LP (please?).

Very nice, it looks like Lupe (I’m still convinced it’s him, if not then the guy who sings this has been ’singing’ for Lupe all along) takes this project serieus. I think it’s a nice sideproject and I truly hope an album will be released on Lupe’s alter ego.
Dug the first tracks…this one, not so much.
It’s just kind of grating and slightly annoying.
Maybe I’m alone on this, maybe not.
