MP3: Jay Electronica x Jay Z x The Dream x Charlotte Gainsbourg x John F. Kennedy

In what might be one of the most diverse lists of artists on one track ever, New Orleans rapper Jay Electronica invites fellow Roc Nation mate Jay-Z, PMA favorite The-Dream, and French hipster girl-crush supreme Charlotte Gainsbourg to guest on “Shiny Suit Theory.” The-Dream and Gainsbourg croon like they’re on a track you just paid for on a diner’s jukebox, echoing the track’s xylophone-and-horns speakeasy vibe, and Jays Electronica and Z trade off smoothly delivered syncopated verses.

Also worth a listen is “The Announcement,” with an equally incongruous list of guests: 35th US President John F. Kennedy? Over particularly motivating sections of the late head of state’s speeches and a simple, percussive beat, Jay delivers goals of his own in his buttery flow.
