Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Friday track of the week, “Don’t Look Down” — dubbed “The Phoenix Story” by Kanye on Twitter — features two big names, Mos Def, Lupe Fiasco, and a quickly rising figure in hip-hop’s new school, Big Sean. It should be noted that the Phoenix character that this song is referring to is a prominent character in Kanye’s Runaway short film that premiered last night, as well as the star of Kanye’s now banned My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy album art (above). Charlotte Aitchison’s second LP is a warhead, a sonic sour bomb that conceals sneering attitude and caustic kiss-offs beneath an initially shimmering pop sheen.
