It is deeply..deeply saddening to see what is happening to US and its people.

Grown up black men disrespecting and humiliating an innocent, young and obviously very talented singer Taylor in front of multimillion viewers national TV….this is so sad…

I call for everyone DON’T EVER BUY HIS MUSIC!! if you really like his music, just download it for free!!! why contribute your hard earned money for his music when he obviously wasn’t happy with white girl getting an award.

Fuck her moment what about ladys like keisha cole and kerri hilson who dont even get nominated, if it wasint for beyonca there would be no black women at the mtv awards at all MTV is racist!!!!

Yeah MTV is so racists in the 80′s after they started with more shows than music videios everything was MTV Yo Raps or some other crap. Maybe the reason there aren’;t a lot of black woman getting awards is they don’;t have the class of Beyonce. For evryone of her you have 100,00 lil kim ho’s.

I felt sorry for Taylor at first, but after witnessing the outrageous backlash for Kanye, I started feeling bad for him!

I’m just not going to feel bad for anyone. I’ll laugh at them with this mashup :)

That shit wasn’t about race but this quote obviously is… anyone else see the hidden image that they’re trying to paint.

“Grown up black men disrespecting and humiliating an innocent, young and obviously very talented singer Taylor in front of multimillion viewers national TV….this is so sad…”

Black men are generalized as a problem… while all the young, innocent…. and most importantly…. white Taylor Swifts of the world are being victimized at their hands. What a pathetic view on life.

Besides Kanye was right anyway and Beyonce won the award to prove it. Just another drunk celeb screw up… get over it already.

I think that the situation has not been blown out of proportion.
kanye is just a silly idiot and its the perfect example of someone abusing their fame and it also shows how desperate someone can be for attention.there was absolutely no reason for it and it didnt establish anything. even if people werent mad, what point would he have made. he really did ruin something for someone. i wish he would have done it to someone who wouldnt have taken his bullshit.and although i think kannye is talented id rather not have him around at all. go away haha.

and wait whats that you said she will never get her moment back….
…. wait didnt beyonce give her, her moment? yes so she had a moment? hmm

kanye had reasons to be upset
but wrong time to show it i agree
its the VMA VIDEO music awards

and taylors song even if it was like the beatles(A Stretch I know)
If there Video SUCKED and like Bob Dylans Video RULED, The Beatles would stilll win for everyone liking there music more not there video…

Thats why he was upset he didnt say anything against Her music just the video someone else made for her…

and he didnt cut off her mtv technically did he said ‘Im going to let you finish.’ but mtv cut it off.

He appologized shit happens, LIfe continues

Kanye IS racist. This IS about race. Kanye is one of those people who think white people owe something to black people because of the racism in the past. This is indirectly racism. I don’t think he hates white people, but I think he will more likely support and side with a black person than a white person. Maybe he’s not aware of it himself.

If his behavior at the VMA had nothing to do with race, then how does he explain Taylor Swift won if Beyonce should had won? He’s the one saying there was a mistake, so how does he explain this mistake other than by saying the judges were racist?
I have news for you Kanye: maybe the judges got fed up of Rap, R’n'B, and the kind of music Beyonce does. We’ve been fed so much of it that it’s sickening if you don’t like this. Maybe the judges decided something different would be could for a change. Did you think of that Kanye?

I condemn the slavery and discrimination that occured in the united states. But this is over now and Taylor Swift is not responsible for what happened before. She is just 19! How could she be responsible?

Kanye, like many people, has to accept he or other black people are not perfect (and I’m not saying white people are – nobody is perfect!). He has to stop thinking if a black person fails at something it’s because of a racial discrimination issue.

Because of people like Kanye, and because there are many of them, I feel like black people want to separate themselves from white people.
I can hardly enjoy music made by a black artist, or movies with black actors as the main characters. I feel like they want to be away from white people like me and therefore would not want me to like what they do. I realize this is not true, but people like Kanye make me feel that way.

Kanye also made racist comments about Katrina. I agree Bush messed up the whole thing, but it should be noted that many white people left the area when warnings of a hurricane were issued. Many black people stayed.
I also remember Kanye saying nobody cares about black people. That’s true, but it’s not racism because nobody really cares about anybody. People mostly care only about themselves and their family. That’s how the world is today, Kanye. It’s not about skin color.

Also (and this is kind of cruel to say but sadly it is true) we should also consider that it’s harder to care for people who live in poor communities and are not really valuable to society in general.
Now when you know the above and you also know most black people in New Orleans were poor and most white people were wealthy, then you know why people did not seem to care much for the black people of New Orleans, and you also know it’s not because they are black but because they are poor. The fact that the poor people happen to be black is a coincidence (I mean if you put aside history, because they became poor because of discrimination towards black people).

People like Kanye bring the fight for racial equality back 50 years. Today, most people understand all races are equal. There are still a few racists, but they are just a handful compared to the entire population, and we will never convince everyone anyway so they are not worth wasting our time.
Today, racism is gone. Black people now have to get wealthy and get out of the poverty where segregation has put them. They have to move up to the next step.
But people like Kanye West don’t want them to move to that next step. They want them to stay at step 1: fighting racism. And if there is no racism to fight, count on Kanye West and the others like him to make up imaginary racism.

Yes Kanye, keep up that attitude of “it’s a white person vs. a black person, it has to be racist” (I’m surprised you are not offended to see white athletes competing with black athletes at the Olympics). Keep that attitude of “whites hate us”.

Kanye, are you just stupid?
Are you jealous the people who listen to your music will be as wealthy as you if they get education and jobs, so you try to slow down their progress?
Is this all a big publicity stunt (I hardly know you for your music after all. Every time I hear about you it’s because of something you did).
Are you bipolar?
Are you afraid of yourself and need a visible enemy to feel secure (like most racists)?
What is wrong with you Kanye? Why don’t you say this to us the next time you go on TV to rant about how black people are discriminated against?

And why did not you complain that America still won’t let a black president in the white house unless he’s half white?

P.S. Beyonce did win Album of the Year

The problem I have with people that make comments like yours is you make the same mistake that Kanye made… everyone has opinions but their is a right way and a wrong way to share them Kanye thought Beyonce’s video was better then Taylor Swift it that an outrageous opinion… no was the way he chose to express it incredibly rude yes. Is your opinion that Kanye was wrong for doing what he did an outrageous opinion….. no but is the way you are choosing to express it and the leaps in logic that you take to get you there incredibility rude and hurtful to fans of music, people and decency…… yes…. so who’s behavior is more egregious yours or Kanye?

Beyonce mKes pop and very little r and b. A lot of her songs get labled r and b for no real reason other than her being blk … It’s not real rb just like most of taylors singles aren’t real country… What we are being fed mostly and depending on stations u listen to is pop. It is becoming dominant at the moment with taylor Beyonce rihanna Jordon sparks Leona Lewis pink bep. Etc. Maybe kanye really thought hers was the best video. Not because Beyonce is black but because of the attention that video got from parady YouTube and video rotation

Hahaha great reply.

I don’t understand why people are making such a big deal out of this. I watched Taylor Swift’s video and was surprised that it won… props to her for her success but that video is a rip off of any high school teen movie in the last 20 years.

no comment for you guys. What Kanye did was dumb yes. It was his opinion and he was probably drunk and outraged or something. He’s sorry for his rudeness, although it is possible he only said sorry because he saw he was getting a bad rep. We cant boycott his music or anything just because he did something stupid. Kanye does not blame white people for everything. I agree with a few things YES IT IS said but you exaggerated a lot. Kanye isnt racsist. I personally didnt like Beyonce’s song let alone her video which really was just a bunch of her usual dancing. I disagree with Kanye and think it was rude but their is way too much pressure on him. Plus he might be jealous since al his videos suck. But his musics good.
P.S. why do people get awards for videos where all they do is lip sing and maybe dance or act? they should get awards for their music and talent. If anyone gets an award for avideo it should be the director or cameraman or something like that.
