Kanye West Love Lockdown / Heartless REMASTERED listen

You just got to love Kanye West. Seriously. His determination to reach perfection is uncanny and inspiring. Some people have even gone as far as calling him the music industry’s Obama! Ok, that’s not true — but I’m sure such comparisons aren’t too far-fetched.

Weeks after “Love Lockdown” hit radio stations everywhere as well as top iTunes charts, Kanye decides to give the song a bit of a boob job — and I like it. “Heartless” got its work done right on time for iTunes and Radio implementation.

Kanye’s message:

“After performing and hearing this in the club I decided to mix this and master it again…notice the 808 and tribal drums sound way fuller!!! DJ’s please play this version!”

PMA readers’ comments regarding Kanye’s new sound:

i don’t know why people hate on kanye so much. he’s one of the best rappers out there; maybe they just have a distaste for the hip hop genre, but he’s a prodigy in my eyes.

his albums have great themes, his songs are deep, his lines are memorable and his beats are fun and great to dance to or just sit back and enjoy.

West compared the situation to when he was a child and thought the color pink was cool until someone told him “it was gay”. He went on to state how the views of society can rob people of their confidence and self-esteem. West also classified 808s & Heartbreak as pop music and expressed that, “People think pop is bad, but Michael Jackson was pop and who can compare to him?”

I dont understand why people are so surprised that Kanye West is genre blending. Its in his nature to advance because creativity isnt creativity when it creates the same thing over and over.

By asking Kanye to stay on his “College Dropout shit” your asking him to stunt his creative growth. This music is coming straight from his soul! You gotta understand his state of thought.

In my opinion, people really need to realize…just because he’s doing something “different,” doesn’t mean he’s doing something good. I respect him trying to push the boundaries of what a hip-hop artist can do, but the work he is putting out as a result is just not up to par. There is nothing creative or revolutionary about the way he’s using autotune on this album…I don’t really understand why anyone thinks that. The beats aren’t anything revolutionary either…I respect other people’s opinions, but I just don’t get it on this one.

I’m just sayin’…

I think Love Lockdown needs a bit more bass. Then it would be perfect.

man this is cool seen as Musician. But as a Hip Hop fan i say Hip Hop is DEAD R.I.P

notice artists who can’t sing for shit use that electronic voice thing, I feel alot more artists are going to start using it cause it alters your voice soo much, to the point where u can’t tell if the person sings bad or good.

I hope the electronic vocalizer isn’t the future of music. :s

    i see
in alot of the comments that
    some people arent feeling the
    electronic voice thing but
when i listen i can completely
    feel every word…ye is trying
to bring back the art of
    storytelling back into hip hop

    its dope, sometime people
need to look a little deeper

I like the new stuff just fine — but I wouldn’t mind the old Kanye Back

I never saw it that way — I guess that makes A LOT of sense.

This song doesnt prove anything, even I can sing with so much mic-magic! Would love to hear Kanye sing this live, can almost bet he wont make it.

    Kanye is getting really weird.

  15. LOVE what he did to Heartless this time around. Feel like he overdid it with Love Lockdown though. It sounds too distorted and sloppy now. The version that’s been out for awhile now is still my favorite.

808s and Heartbreak has my money once it comes out. Kanye is one of those artists who could record a children’s album and I’d STILL plunk down 10 bucks to hear where he went with it.

  16. He’s just a Genius!

  17. not bad

Kanye has now proven that he has turned into a complete weirdo! YES…I can compliment him from stop using samples on the production. But at the same time the samples is what has made him platinum selling CD’s! And I can’t see this CD selling more than 350,000 units. If it does there are more gays in the world than expected cause this is some real gay shit! Where is the melodies? It is some depressing shit! I can understand that someone is trying to express themselves throughout music expression, but this CD is completely out of content for that because people work hard for their $10. So why should someone throw it away in order of listening to a CD that depresses them? One of two songs are o.k .but he should of recorded some inspiration tracks! 5 of the songs sound so similar that it ain’t even funny. Plus this auto-tune fad is just that, a quick fad for a time of lost artists who haven’t talent. So I’m wondering if he is trying to show his true by recording something like this? It is beyond wack and showcases why music sales are falling faster than ever and will keep falling because of illegal downloading that will keep happening if crap like this keeps coming out! I lost total respect for him from this CD! It’s worth free downloading!
