Along with the photo above, this was how Kelle Maize introduced herself to me. Little did I know that with four songs, this new age rapping cutie would prove to be a front-runner in Hip-Hop’s Freshman class, zooming passed fellow rapping ladies Kid Sister and Amanda Blank.
Kellee, a Pittsburgh native, takes pride in being a wholly DIY sort of artist, relying on grassroots support to find her footing. It comes as no surprise then, that her music has a distinct East Coast sound, most notably a powerful leaning towards the Baltimore club scene that would make Xaphoon Jones blush.
Kellee passed on four tracks via email, but you can download her 21-track album, Aligned Archetype, for free at her website. Sample “Start None”, “Mothership”, “Big Plans” and “Yesterday” before you grab the album.

Her music is so catchy. ‘Aligned Archetype’ is very impressive, definitely worth checking out.

redeveloping the music industry through genre and distribution, the girl is doing her own thing in all the right ways…finally something new, original, and dope sounding! i want to be apart of this revolution! if you’re hating, you just don’t get it.
I’m not sure why she sent you these four songs. I downloaded her album on frostwire last month. Her best songs are third eye, pulse, something sacred and city of champions (if u love pgh)
