Lady GaGa – Fashion
Lady GaGa covered Heidi Montag’s “Fashion” (what the fuck?) for the Confessions of a Shopoholic Soundtrack (another movie I shamelessly want to watch this Valentine’s Day weekend). Now, I’ve only heard Heidi’s version once when Ryan Seacrest played it on KIIS FM a while ago. I don’t remember much, but I remember that it sucked hard. Very hard. The song sort of makes sense when Lady GaGa sings it. Sure, it’s flows through the same vain as GaGa’s “Vanity,” but her faux-French accent when she pronounces the labels with the weird names is kind of hilarious. The song runs at a short 2:50, and feels like half of a song; but it’s fun fluff. Great for a long, long Hump Day. Preview it below:
Bat For Lashes – Daniel
I just let you guys know about Bat For Lash’s “Glass,” a track off her second album, Two Suns, and now I have the album’s lead single “Daniel” to share. The single is absolutely gorgeous. Bat For Lashes is the whole package. The music is as colorful and beautiful as the lyrics and her voice. Her album, Two Suns is out April 6th.

Heidi’s is horrid! She has no voice so they overproduced/autotuned her “voice”. Sure the song is in the same no-substance theme as the movie, but Lady G kills it.
Actually, GaGa and RedOne originally composed the song, it just wasn’t released. Heidi then covered it (horribly) in the studio with RedOne.
