This is one of the worst remixes I’ve heard, particularly from an established act.

It’s extremely lazy; it sounds like you suggested, that Justice were offered a large amount of money by Kravitz in an attempt to purchase ‘Now-ness’ and credibility (Justice’s moment was really in 2007-2008, which shows how ‘hip’ Kravitz is). They then took the money and just put the vocal over a spare beat from † they had laying around.

I’ve lost respect for Justice and found even more disdain for Kravitz.

your right, the whole Justice sound is old…and the copy-cats of it are getting old too…and for us 90′s trance fans it was old to start.

stressed 5-10part saw-synths are fun in small doses…but it’s nothing more than the electric-guitar “power-chord” of electronica.

I think this rmx is better than the U2 one, but I’m feeling diappointed as well… They have the genius to create something worthwhile, not these pop rmxs… How can they continue touring with always the same tracks? And Royksopp are overtaking them…

Ever heard ELO, sparks or other 80′s early-electro bands ?! This is what justice listens to get inspiration, and it is GREAT music. This remix just sounds like that!
@ Nepo:They never wanted to make ‘dance’-music even the album ‘cross’ was originally made just for listening…

The blogoverse confuses me.

Everyone goes on about how cool Justice’s retro sound it, then when they really let loose with the U2 and Lenny Kravitz remixes, people complain it’s derivative.

These tracks are Justice looking back, a retrospective on music that has influenced them, not Justice looking forward and trying to be progressive.

How can you not love the 80′s sax on this track?

You guys are reading too much into this. Justice are dance musicians, what if they wanted to do just a really quick Lenny K. remix they can throw down in clubs. Not every single Justice song that comes out has to be the track of the year. Not every Daft Punk song is AMMMAAZZZIIINNGGGG! Not every Digitalism song is OOOUTTTSSSTTAAANNDDING!!! Justice are human beings, not gods.
