Lightouts are a new indie rock duo out of Brooklyn and “See Clear” is their debut single, back with two tracks, “Only The Smart Ones” and a Stone Roses cover, “Here It Comes”. If “See Clear” is any indication, then Lightouts are a contemporary rock band, drawing similarities to Killers circa Sam’s Town due to vocalist Greg Nelson’s endearing falsetto and his ability to write a catchy song. It is certainly radio accessible and very easy on the ears, even when the guitar riffs are raised up a notch as the chorus comes in.
