I won’t talk about Lily Allen’s new album, It’s Not Me, It’s You much here because you will be reading Pretty Much Amazing’s review of it really soon. But I will talk about “Never Gonna Happen” — easily one of my favorite songs on the album. The title for my absolute favorite track off the album would go to “f**k You” — but we’ve been listening to demos of that song for 6 months now, so I wanted to share a brand new track with you. “Never Gonna Happen” can be seen as Knock ‘Em Out‘s laid back cousin — but probably not as funny. Luckily, Lily Allen’s new album relies less on humor and a bit more on deeper lyrics. Not too deep though. Best anti-Valentine’s Day song of 2009? I nominate “Never Gonna Happen.” Preview it below:

Architecture in Helsinki – That Beep

Australia’s Architecture in Helsinki have just dropped their greatest electro-pop cross-over single ever. No seriously. Architecture In Helsinki bring the pop music in its stickiest form in “That Beep.” This is a true earworm “dressed up as bubble gum.” I have missed the immaculate side of pop music. Hopefully Architecture in Helsinki’s new album, Vision Revision, will bring it back.
