Hailing from Rock Island, Illinois, Lissie nabbed herself acclaim from Bust, Filter, Marie Claire, Nylon, and Under The Radar for her Why You Runnin’ EP, released late last year. A debut for Lissie, Why You Runnin’ was produced by Band of Horses’ Bill Reynolds and recorded with Jacquire King who’s worked with Tom Waits, Modest Mouse, Kings of Leon, and Norah Hones.

Lissie posted up her cover of Lady GaGa’s eminent “Bad Romance” on her YouTube channel last week, it’s everything I needed to hear to know that I will be a long-time Lissie fan and patiently waiting for the release of her debut LP, whenever it may come. Download the cover below (via):

Have you listened to 30 Seconds to Mars’ cover of “Bad Romance” yet? They did one on the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge.

I heard of Lissie back when she was doing vocals on a song called “The Longest Road” by Morgan Page. I prefer the Deadmau5 remix personally, but her voice is still sick.

Oh yeah. Like the ending with the clapping. Great cover and sounds original, sorta singer/songwriter sounding.

Nice cover. I like Gaga’s songs. I sometimes download them from http://www.mp3hounddog.com . I don’t like Gaga’s role she has chosen to gain popularity but I like her songs.
