2008 favorite Lyyke Li is giving away a free mp3 on her site of this Shirelle’s cover. It will cost you an email address. It’s a nice cover, but I would have preferred some new material.
VV Brown – Miss You (Rolling Stones cover)
Meanwhile, British alternative pop star VV Brown covered the Rolling Stones’ “Miss You” during one of her BBC Radio Live Lounge sessions. Her full length debut Travelling Like The Light will see its American release in February, but in anticipation for its release, VV Brown fans can buy The Attic EP on iTunes now.
MP3: VV Brown – Miss You (Rolling Stones Cover)
How about all these covers we’ve been getting lately? Cover heads, like myself, are having a blast right now!

It should be noted that while the Shirelle’s released it first, this IS a Carole King song.
Does VV’s track skip for anyone else?
The quality is popping along as it goes.
Great covers by both ladies.
Luis, have you heard Kinema’s cover of “My Girls” — think you might like it – http://www.arjanwrites.com/arjanwrites/2009/11/free-mp3-download-kinema-my-girls.html
Yup, I will still love Lykke Li tomorrow… and the next day… and the next day…
I like both covers a lot, but VV Brown’s cover barely edges Lyyke Li’s cover, for me. VV’s voice is just amazing. So powerful. I love the deep soul influences she introduces here — I didn’t really hear them in her album.
I will always love you lyyke! xx
I love Lykke, but this cover was very uninteresting. VV Brown’s cover was a lot more engaging.
I can’t wait for new material by Lykke though. Bring it!
are you joking?! The cover is amazing!
Eugh… I didn’t like the echoey effect.
Any Winehouse’s version remains the ultimate.
