Los Angeles area noise pop quartet, Mezzanine Owls have a new 7″ single out on October 11th via JAXART Records. The a-side track, “Obstacle” sounds like grey sunshine, when it flourishes with the pop sensibility bands of the area are known for, the Owls deftly jerk it back down, playing this sort of back-and-forth game with the song’s atmosphere. Before you know it, the song is over and you don’t even think twice about hitting the repeat button.
