Uh oh, I think your blog has been taken over by 14 year olds. Or perhaps you yourself are 14. I don’t mean to sound crass, but MGMT warranting 200 plays? I agree that Kids is a great song, but even a song I consider to be crack I try not to listen to more than 5 times a day. In a few months you’ll farking hate it. Try getting concerts on Netflix, there are some incredible shows by David Byrne, Paul Simon, Dave Matthews . . . classic stuff. I guarantee you won’t find a better show than Elton’s 60th birthday. And I’m not even that big a fan. I further guarantee that MGMT isn’t going to have concerts that hold up 20 years hence. Last, anyone who wastes time watching this stuff on YouTube either doesn’t have a good stereo or good ears. Mark Knopfler ‘FTW.’ You kids study your history!!! (Surely ‘Passion Pit’ will be remembered in the same vein as ‘New Kids on the Block.’)

This week I have been listening to the new Dananananaykroyd debut and the new Maccabees cd too. Listening to Joy Division and Joy Division 2 (aka Interpol). Two Door Cinema Club are my new favourite band. Beatles are in there as ever, and I’ve been re-listening to Animal Collective as it hits my friends. Finally, with the release of Remix After All, I have been going through Daft Punk’s discography properly for the first time.
