More than a year and a half after she first premiered it in a turntable.fm chatroom, here’s a new track from Little Boots called “Motorway.” We can’t be upset she kept this in her pocket for so long when it’s this good, clocking in at just about five minutes rooted in a throbbing bassline, a softly undulating synth loop, and plenty of film-noir drones. The beat’s impressive, but minimalistic enough to allow Little Boots’s pipes plenty of space to show off, as she reckons with a love even her friends won’t understand. Basically, we’ve found your jam if you want to re-up David Cronenberg’s film Crash anytime soon. Little Boots’ new record Nocturne will be out in May – hold tight. Download an mp3 of the single here.
