We can’t wait for Toronto dream-pop duo Memoryhouse to put out their first full-length record The Slideshow Effect via Sub Pop on February 28, and even though their latest big reveal isn’t a brand new single from the record, it’s got us even more psyched up to hear what they have to offer.

The band’s seasonally-appropriate cover of psychadelic rockers The Zombies’ 1968 hit “This Will Be Our Year” is a prime example of the fleshed-out, reverb-saturated, upbeat sound we’ve heard on the band’s fantastic new material, sticking with the classically ‘60s organ and guitar sounds from the original while, thanks mostly to frontwoman Denise Nouvion’s singular voice, sticking to that classically dreamy Memoryhouse vibe too. Hit the download button if you want to take the MP3 with you.

Charlotte Aitchison’s second LP is a warhead, a sonic sour bomb that conceals sneering attitude and caustic kiss-offs beneath an initially shimmering pop sheen.
