In further “everyone’s remixing Phoenix” news, A-Trak’s taken some time out of his busy Duck Sauce schedule to drop this remix of Bankrupt!‘s single du jour, “Trying to be Cool.” If you’ve been dreaming about a Phoenix song with a shimmery, chromatic space-age feel, some rave-ready bass drops, and a slightly more epic length, this is the remix for you – clocking in at over seven minutes, it begs to be cranked up loud at your next futuristic rave, to which you had better invite us. We love how A-Trak keeps Thomas Mars’s vocal track largely unedited over those heady, synthy planes of sound. Check it out.
