Remix artist and producer Andre Allen Anjos aka RAC has been under our radar for quite some time now, since he revamped Radiohead’s “Nude” from In Rainbows. If you check out his website, the DJ has reworked tracks from pretty much everyone in the music business including Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Kings Of Leon, Tokyo Police Club, Ra Ra Riot, honestly the list goes on and on. The prolific producer has returned with RAC Vol 2, where a new song will be premiered every day on a different blog. Thus far, he’s released reworkings of Surfer Blood, Washed Out and Suckers and today PMA is proud to present to you his rendition of “Stay Close” from dreamy Spanish synth pop group, Delorean.
The track recalls its hazy origins, but with a more riveting bass line and lush electronic melodies that truly compliment frontman Ekhi Lopetegi’s vocals. There are awesome electro solos and some seriously crunchy grooves throughout. RAC Vol 2 is out tomorrow March 4th.
