In a touching example of bi-coastal orchestral pop solidarity, the morning benders’ Chris Chu has remixed Ra Ra Riot’s gorgeous “Too Dramatic” into a mellow, chillwave-y, quasi-R&B slow jam.
Wes Miles’ sweet voice, heartache embodied, is up front and center, over clattering Discovery-esque drum machine and lots of layered vocals. Ra Ra Riot’s “Too Dramatic” single will drop next week, and the Morning Benders are reportedly in the studio working on the follow-up to 2010’s awesome Big Echo. This remix will probably tide fans of either band over for a while.
