With only a few days left until Fleet Foxes‘ highly awaited sophomore effort Helplessness Blues comes out, Robin Pecknold and the gang have stopped by Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 Live Show at Maida Vale Studios to record a lengthy session. Thank to Hiding Behind The Shed, we now have access to the entire set, which you can download below.
The indie folk lords played a chunk of new material, including “Bedouin Dress,” “Battery Kinzie” and “Montezuma,” but also played some of the songs that made them famous, like the celebrated anthem “Mykonos” and “Your Protector.”
If you’ve happened to catch them live, than you’d know that Fleet Foxes are one of those bands that sound better live: this is assuredly the case here, the music so raw yet polished all at once. Helplessness Blues drops on May 3rd in the U.S. via Sub Pop. Check out Blues opener “Montezuma” from the awesome set below:
