As the physical release of Bloc Party’s Intimacy draws near, a few bonus tracks have started to pop up around the internet.
This is what Billboard reported yesterday:
Bloc Party is expanding its third album, “Intimacy,†for CD release on Oct. 28 via Atlantic. Fans who pre-ordered the album through the band in August received an immediate download of the set, but without the songs “Letter To My Son,†“Your Visits Are Getting Shorter,†“Talons†and “Flux.â€
Those four tracks, plus acoustic versions of “Talons†and “Signs,†will also be available in the wider digital release next week. “Some of the tracks weren’t even finished when we put it on the Internet,†drummer Matt Tong tells Billboard.com. “And you have to sweeten the deal out there for the traditionalists.â€
Â
Although nothing is confirmed, Bloc Party has tentative plans to return to North America in December for some radio station-sponsored festivals.
Here is the final track list for “Intimacyâ€:
“Aresâ€
“Mercuryâ€
“Haloâ€
“Bikoâ€
“Trojan Horseâ€
“Signsâ€
“One Month Offâ€
“Zephyrusâ€
“Talonsâ€
“Better Than Heavenâ€
“Ion Squareâ€
“Letter To My Sonâ€
“Your Visits Are Getting Shorterâ€
“Fluxâ€Â
Intimacy proved to be much more than a warped Radiohead-esque publicity stunt, but these two new songs hardly reflect that.

i like these tune
nice additions
enjoyed “letter to my son” but the other one is probably one of the weakest tracks on the new album..
bloc party is f*cking awesome and they are going to give an exclusive concert here in Belgium. I hope that I win those tickets because that is the only chance to get tickets for it. I hope so !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bloc Party live is a whole different experience. cant wait for a US tour!
what an amazing song, i cant wait to get the album!
Favorite songs off Intimacy, hands down.
unreal… this gave me goosebumps.
you shouldn’t post these. the sound quality is terrible. show some fucking respect for the band.
does this quality suck or does my computer just suck?
The quality is really bad, yes. It’s a webrip. Go buy the album for a full version?
Luvs Flux.
Just thought I would throw that one out there.
December? I’M THERE!
I find it kind of ironic/hypocritical to be posting music for free & then imploring people to “go buy the full album” when its pointed out that the songs are poor quality.
Really, you shouldn’t be posting songs that aren’t of the best quality, especially if you are just trying to get to the top of hypem.com by being the first to post them.
Also, what happened to the posts about whats been most played on your ipod? They were great!
thanks for the comment.
I have been meaning to get those posts back up and running. Maybe I should?
letter to my son was very good im glad they added it but your visits are getting shorter really disappointed
Btw the quality on these wasn’t very good
It’s always interesting to see how bands find new ways to release their music when people quit buying. They’ll figure it out at some point though. Looking forward to their new album.
The new Bloc Party album is… different. Which isn’t bad, it’s just going to have to grow on me, which probably won’t be hard. I’ve only listened through it once.
When i first heard the new album I wasn’t sure if I really liked it or not… but after a few days of listening to it I fucken LOVE IT!!!!
Bloc party have to be my favorite band ever!
i have 400 of their songs on my i-pod
These songs go with the album really good i think!
…THEY DO NOT HAVE 400 SONGS THAT UNHEARD OF….IDIOT….AND EVERYTHING THE TOUCH IS GOLD…DONT FORGET IT.
These are two of my favorites on Intimacy. “Your visits” has been stuck in my head for the last 3 days, I think it kicks ass. The whole album is amazing, possibly better than Silent Alarm, but an excellent addition to the Bloc Party libarary in any case. I’ll be seeing them toward the end of April in Oakland.
