“She’ll Never Be Me” was a demo that partially leaked quite a while ago; it was thought to be a comeback to Justin Timberlake’s “Cry Me A River,” but the song has been re-recorded and rewritten hopefully to act as a tester for the upcoming album in December.
The song itself is really standard ex-girlfriend craziness, and also strikingly similar to Madonna’s “She’s Not Me” — though I think Britney does it better (she doesn’t say “pimp your style”…). This sound does have some “In The Zone”-era qualities, but it also have some Max Martin fueled pop beats in the mix. Is Britney leaning towards a more bouncy, synth-pop sound? Does it get any more bouncy and synth-pop than “Gimme More“? Download the track below:

this song was co-written by justin timberlake for the album, britney. an australian radio station played half of it before britney came out and that is all we have had for 7 years. numerous people have re-edited the partial clip into a full-length clip, but this is the first time we have heard the whole song in its entirety. it was not in response to cry me a river, as it was written by justin before his solo album was released. either way, i am very excited to finally have the full-length track.

The song co-written by Justen for the album ‘Britney’ was ‘What it’s like to be me’, I don’t know if this one was as well (though I doubt it) but it was definitly not on the ‘Britney’ album. I would remember if it was, I used to listen to that album all the time…
