Here’s good news for anyone who likes Hot Chip or Bolton electronic producer Planningtorock. Two of the members of the illustrious British electro pop outfit, Al Doyle and Felix Martin, are starting their own venture apart from the dance group with producer/enginer Tom Hopkins under the moniker . They are apparently working on a full length debut, which is said to appear in early 2012, and have released their first jam, “Finding Reasons,” which you can peep below.

The song has all of the elements of a Hot Chip jam and even sports some steel drumming action near the end. It’s slow and sensual, but thanks to some screeching guitar riffs and synth heavy production, it’s also electrifying and even a bit terrifying all at once.
