This is completely random, but I am enjoying it immensely. Somewhere, somehow, America’s Bi-curious Sweetheart (who is obviously learned in the ways of the blogs — it is what kept her relevant before she kissed a girl, you know) recorded this not-too-shabby cover of MGMT’s beloved song, “Electric Feel.”
Her voice isn’t too bad live, is it? I almost when to see her at Warped Tour this year… but then I remembered freak teenagers drenched in, what can only be described as, Hot Topic shit scare me. Listen to this cover below:

This is like that time Mandy Moore did a cover of Umbrella. Katy Perry needs to stay where she belongs — annoying novelty songs, that is.
MGMT is not very good. They are a crappy hipster-band that exists because of the paradigm they ride upon. I might actually like Katy Perry better than MGMT. I hate indi-hipsters. Its the new common pretentiousness. A fad with no relevance to anything real or deeply human. MGMT is just masturbatory college music, fueled by the abscess narcissism that dominates the ego of the weak rock-star-wannabe hipster. Go Katy Perry for actually singing it better than MGMT (who can’t sing or pull off sassiness.) Is Katy Perry a paradigm rider? well yes, but she is not glorified as some kind of on-the-cusp band. They are both predictable phenomena. To you MGMT defenders, they are really very similar to Katy Perry. very! (and she is ‘gasp!’ possibly more talented (and will make a lot more money, ha ha))
