“Heartless” is the second delectable taste of Kanye Wests’ highly scruitinized/anticipated new album 808’s and Heartbreak. Given that the track is called “Heartless,” it implies that this particular song is quite key to the album’s plot as a whole — and thank goodness for that.
“Love Lockdown” has been welcomed with global Top 10 single status, along with some pretty scattered reviews. Especially from this blog and its readers. Though I still stick with my saying his auto-tune effect is draining on the first single, I can’t deny Kanye’s production and songwriting. “Heartless” is different in that the auto-tune was strictly reserved for the chorus (as far as this clip shows). Fortunately, the verses are rapped. This gives me hope for the new album!
