New Kings of Leon – Closer

The new Kings of Leon album, Only By The Night, is almost upon us. The album will be released via Columbia Records on September 23rd. Before the album becomes annoyingly ubiquitous, I wanted to share the amazing album opener titled “Closer” — if read incorrectly, this song title would be totes ironic (haha). This little song sets the mood of the (so-far) brilliant album. Granted, it’s a little song, but it packs a punch. Along with first single “Sex on Fire,” and most of the album, this track is so good it’s retarded.

For sure a HOT album. Way better than their last effort where to me every track was average (except for On Call which was off the hook!).
@Timmy12, the album has been leaked since a few days ago. I know I’ll be purchasing a copy when its out.
The album has already been leaked. I wouldnt say its their best album
unlike most people (or diehard kings of leon fans) i think because of the times was their best effort overall for me. more of my sound. although its still too early to say, i think the first half of this album surpasses BOTT, but overall as a whole it does not. best songs are closer, sex on fire,use somebody (which should propel them into superstardom in america, but judging by the comeback of britney spears, maybe not), manhattan (my fav so far) and album closer cold desert. definitely worth checking out.
im still waiting to hear their extra song that’s included in the UK ver.
I really love the song “Revelry” i think thats by far the most fluid sounding song. Somehow it takes a little getting used to all the tempo changes in all the other songs.. for instance “Be Somebody” sounds great but then they just wreck it with a cheezy tempo change.
