Beloved bearded troubadour Justin Vernon, who now records with a band as Bon Iver are following-up the dizzying one-two punch that was 2008′s For Emma, Forever Ago and early 2009′s Blood Bank EP with the forthcoming self-titled album. ‘s first single–”Calgary”–has finally arrived, just five weeks before the album hits stores.

Lighter and ethereal, “Calgary” sets itself apart from the tunes found on For Emma. Vernon sounds crisp and polished here, angelic as ever, and his band follows steadfastly, supporting those gold-dripped pipes.  You can listen to and download “Calgary” below, courtesy of Jagjaguwar.
