Props to Confusion for posting this one up on his blog. “Home” is a the demo that would eventually become Kanye’s and Chris Martin’s “Homecoming” from Graduation. This early version doesn’t feature Coldplay on the chorus and is missing the killer piano loop that we all loved on “Homecoming.”
Instead, “Home” features a soul loop, that reminds me of the loop Ye used on “Champion,” over another pitched-up soul sample. It’s a great song that would have found its place in Late Registration and Graduation but now I wonder if something like this will ever find its place in Kanye’s upcoming music.
