I thought that “Nude” remix competition was long over? Anyway, some Anthony Rist emailed me last night with these three remixes. No text, just 3 uploaded mp3s. I almost didn’t download them. I’m glad I did, a couple of them are pretty great. The first remix I listened to was was the Dreamtrak Remix — this one may be to jingly and rave-esque for me. It sounds like the product of an amateur messing around with a trial version of some DJ software. The other two are much better. The Lost Memories In Trance Remix is much better (and a whole lot more dancable!) than the Dreamtrak remix. Though it still does hold that rave feeling. My favorite, though, was the last one. This No One Meets Nude Remix is as classy as they come. It doesn’t change the feel or the message of the song. It keeps Radiohead’s supple feel but adds some excellently placed instrumentals and extends the song a bit. This last remix is definitely something every Radiohead fan wants in their collection.
But I still think that Holy Fuck remix is the best “Nude” remix of all time.

I am sorry, but the ‘no one meets’ one is just nothing but a remix..Just adding some guitar chords to the exact original samples is quite poor IMHO, it is too similar to the original for me…

I spent 4 weeks or something sickeningly ridiculously long on that competetion, working nightshifts and still hacking at it till 7 the next morning…
The words ’some-thing-miss-ing’ still haunt my dreams.
