although her song might be very electro-pop-disco like a lot of the songs on the circuit right now, the funky groove in the beginning, her howling, and her Latin sounding voice still makes it extremely unique. i love the high pitched/electro sounding chorus, it’s very chic and very ‘today’ oriented. i have no doubt about that it will hit the top of the charts very quickly.

against all the other commments, i think she wolf is better. I am spanish, and the fact of understanding what is she saying (nonsense) really creates a weird (bad) feeling. And of course, wtf? was my initial reaction, but this song is one of those that improves in your ear the more you listen to it.

I have some kind of obsession with this song, I like both versions but the spanish version definitely flows more natural.
I listen to it over and over, I can’t wait to watch the video.

My thoughts have been releasing two versions kind of sucks because people will inevitably compare the two and the Spanish version can’t help but feel more “natural” to Shakira when everything else departs from the type of sound we associate her with. But at the same time it’s a brilliant move because she’s setting up a comparison to herself and not other pop artists delving into electro-disco sounds at the moment.

And is she sampling anything? There is something about the rhythm of the refrain that sounds soooo familiar.
