An unreleased M.I.A. song, “Hit That” sounds like a “Paper Planes” fetus — produced by the guy behind Lil Wayne’s ridiculously great “A Milli”, Bangladesh offered his skills on this M.I.A. demo. This song almost feels like a toned down version of “Paper Planes.” If I had to choose between the two, I would definitely go with “Paper Planes,” but this song still as catchy as any other M.I.A. song.
P.S.: This song isn’t technically “new,” but it is new to most people out there.

Yeah, it was the Japanese bonus track to Kala…
Actually, I have a song that seems to have at least one similar verse (I only listened halfway to the song you have here). The one I have is called “What I Got.”
to Karen, this song actually evolved into What I Got and Paper Planes. It’s like a demo from Kala and she took verses off it.
To PMA, i keep thinking that you get the scoop on new music… then i realize that its just an old demo
New, old, whatever; I hadn’t heard it, so thanks PMA. I have to say, I much prefer ‘Hit That’ to ‘Paper Planes’. I dunno why, but Kala was a big letdown for me (pretty much only me, like, in the entire world didn’t like Kala). I’m putting together a mixtape for a 21st and this is definitely going on there.
Ah ok. Thanks for clearing that up terf work.
About the track, listened and found it a little dry. I much prefer “Paper Planes,” but “Hit That” is not bad.
Random, semi-related note: I JUST downloaded “Piracy Funds Terrorism Vol. 1″ (I’m so behind the times, I know!). Goodness gracious, that mixtape is fantastic.
