2008 has been a great year for hip-hop music, and T.I. is the third and fourth quarter’s Lil Wayne. His mega-massive sung-only hit, “Whatever You Like” is atop the single’s charts in the US and his other #1 single, “Live Your Life” is sitting at #2. That’s something Lil Wayne has yet to accomplish.Â
Lil Wayne didn’t have another song on Tha Carter IIIÂ that could possibly match “Lollipop”’s marketability. T.I., however, has at least another song that can definitely hit the number one spot — his collabortive effort with Justin Timberlake, “Dead And Gone.”
Then again, T.I.’s Paper Trail didn’t sell over a million copies in its first week.Â
I’m not sure why I’m comparing T.I.’s success to Lil Wayne’s, when Kanye West’s album is about to drop.Â
I’m confusing myself. Just grab this remix — it’s a change from DiscoTech’s usual stuff, but its definitely not a bad thing. Download it below
