I really don’t understand why so many artists are appearing on Nickelodeon’s silly (and quite boring) kid’s show Yo Gabba Gabba! For whatever reason, many artists have made special and memorable appearances on the show, and now the runaway indie hits, the Ting Tings, have been added to the ever-expanding list of talented musicians extending their artistry to our culture’s most cherished children’s songs. This time, the Ting Tings are putting their sweet twist on “Happy Birthday.”
I wonder if Warner Bros. made any money off of that performance?

i love that they did a cover of altered image’s “happy birthday”… one of my fave 80’s songs.
Too bad they steamed lots of L.A. fans by leaving the stage and not coming back on recently. Fans do remember these things and help them get where they are.

I guess the editor is just narrow minded…. If yo think about it you are catering to a specific crowd, but if yo are good enough yo can cater to several. Ifr anyone has looked into the kid or youth market, its unlimited in marketing & exposure. Guess what if the kids are listening , who would be the ones subjected & purchasing this. I am a parent & first looking at this show thought it would be a flop, oh contraire. Now I am Ting Tings fan .. YO GABBA GABBA
Probably the main reason why so many underground musical acts are appearing on Yo Gabba Gabba! is that the show was co-created by one of the members of the band the Aquabats.
