No Doubt will go on TOUR in 2009!
I’m having an OMFG moment right now…
Okay, I’m better.
No Doubt and its multiple-levels of amazing will go on tour… soon! Gwen is hiring nannies and everything! Holy shit, people.Â

This calls for a list!Â
10 Favorite No Doubt Songs
10. Spiderwebs
I think I love everything about this song. The lyrics, the music, Gwen Stefani’s vocal delivery. I’m pretty sure my outgoing message was very similar to “Spiderwebs” for a few years — at least. I used to always crack up when people would ask me why it was their fault I screened my phone calls.
This is probably the most ridiculous song No Doubt has ever recorded. At the same time, I find the instrumentation irresistible and sexy. And when push comes to shove, I really do like what Gwen’s doing with her voice. This is the original Panic! at the Disco song.
Just one of the extremely fun songs in No Doubt’s back catalogue, but I think I like this one best because an ex of mine actually made me listen to this song once, shortly after we broke up. Seriously, classic.
Equipped with one of the sickest bass lines I’ve ever heard, “Sunday Morning” is a rockin’ track that I usually include in my playlist when I run/swim laps. Fantastic beat.
6. Hey Baby
Seriously, how can you not like this song? It was released when No Doubt were at the peak of their popularity (or somewhere around there). “Hey Baby” was terrifically danceable single. The perfect preface for No Doubt’s best song yet…
5. Just A Girl
This was actually one of the first, if not the first, No Doubt song I’ve ever heard. I just a kid watching Clueless when the song came out in the opening credits. As soon as the move was over, I got up and asked my mommy for some No Doubt credentials.
4. It’s My Life
I’ve always liked Talk Talk just fine, but when I heard No Doubt’s cover of “It’s My Life,” I was blown away. Being the most recent piece of music we’ve heard from No Doubt in years, I can only wish that their next album sounds like this.
3. Bathwater
I almost didn’t want to put “Bathwater” at #3. Sanjaya really ruined it for me a couple years ago, but after drowning his memory in sounds of the original, I’m feeling a lot more comfortable about this positioning. “Bathwater” is simply one of the most aurally pleasing song ever. The keys, the drums, the guitar all work in perfect harmony, even when they weren’t meant to. Also, we can’t forget the crucial, hard questions the song poses: Why do we choose the boys that are nasty? I don’t fit in so why do you want me?
2. Don’t Speak
Yes this song was the #1 on the radio for 16 weeks straight. Yes, it’s true that before this song, nobody knew who the fuck No Doubt was. And yes, “Don’t Speak” is truly one of the best songs ever written.
1. Hella Good
Ushered in by the irresistible “Hey Baby,” my favorite No Doubt song, “Hella Good” topped, the song that I thought would be remembered as No Doubt’s best single — a whopping 7 years later. While “Hella Good” isn’t as sentimentally perfect as “Don’t Speak,” it offers perfection in another field: meshing the best elements of pop music in the 80’s and in the 00’s, creating an inexorable force that made it impossible to keep your body away from the dancefloor.
