M.I.A. – “Born Free” (High Contrast Version)

Technically, this track called a “remix”, but after hearing it a few times through, I’ve come to the conclusion that High Contrast’s version of “Born Free” (watch epic music video) has overcome the cumbersome tag of “remix”. Download MP3 Here. (Read more to LISTEN/DOWNLOAD)

Gorillaz – “Superfast Jellyfish” (Don Diablo Remix)

The always-good Don Diablo tackles “Superfast Jellyfish” with his usual fervor and the end results strip the song from its retro, hook-laden backtrack and gives the track a wired, sugar-rush synth job that quite literally shimmers. (Read more to LISTEN/DOWNLOAD)

Jay-Z x The Dap-Kings – “99 Problems” (Prince Ballard Royal Edit)

Back in 2007, Prince Ballard posted up a handful of “duets” on his blog. He was the type of guy that would blend Lyn Collins with OutKast, or Easy E with Dyke and the Blazers. You know, that guy. The Tins – Tins EP

The Tins received a glowing review from us earlier this year, and a Top 20 spot in our concurrent Best Songs of 2010 list. Now the Buffalo, NY band have self-released their Tins EP to iTunes and CD Baby. The Tins recorded their EP in the same studio where Beach House recorded Teen Dream and where Fleet Foxes will record the follow-up to their gorgeous debut album. You can download Tins‘ first single, “The Green Room” for free.
