American Express’s new holiday campaign for ZNYC features brand new music from some prominent indie bands (including cuts from The Antlers and Andrew Bird). The lone non-instrumental track comes from squeaky clean indie poppers Passion Pit, the band’s first new song since their debut LP, Manners, was released last year. “All These Trees” is a fun Holiday sing-a-long, bearing that familiar synth heavy electro pop but enhanced with glistening Christmas bells and chimes. The song’s gradual buildup is underlined by Michael Angelakos’ unmistakeable soprano, intensifying along the keyboards and a beat driven bassline. It simply screams Christmas cheer.
