The (un)Official Passion Pit Little Secret Remix Contest Coalition stream remixes music mp3 feature
Yesterday morning, scary news that Passion Pit’s debut album, Manners was being pushed back hit the Twitterverse. Later that afternoon, InSound reported that the album was indeed back on track and will be released on May 19th. Thank goodness!

Good Passion Pit news keeps on coming, today the band announced a remix contest for one of the tracks off Manners, “Little Secret.” The band is offering up snippets of the original track. No stems, just snippets — so this will challenge you to bring your best remix game. I challenge you PMA readers to enter this contest! Email me/comment with mediafire/zshare links to YOUR “Little Secret” Remix, and you WILL see it here.

(I strongly suggest you check out the comments section for downloads of the different stems and tips from other remixers)

Passion Pit is offering up snippets from “Little Secrets” right here, a full month before the track is available with the May 19th release of Manners. They want you to take those pieces and build your own songs around them. All you have to do is offer up your email address and you’ll be sent a stem snippet of the unreleased track. Trade with your fellow remixers and musicians until you have all the snippets, or just create a new composition around the one piece you have.

Hover over the shapes on the player to hear the snippets. Submit your info on the player, and when you receive your piece, get to work – the sky’s the limit, add synths, guitar, cowbell, more children’s choirs, your best Michael impression. Post the results here, where fans will vote for their ten favorites until May 15th. After voting closes, Passion Pit will pick five remixes to be released along with a special vinyl version of “Little Secrets,” while the five runners up will receive a copy of the vinyl and a signed CD of Manners. Official contest rules here.

Sweet! Here’s a two minute clip of “Little Secret” to mold into your remix.
