Passion Pit’s new single “Take a Walk” is already making a huge splash, so bring on the remixes – of all varieties and quality. The M Machine, a California production trio on Skrillex’s OWSLA label, is the latest to throw down their interpretation, and it’s great: it sounds at once stripped down from Passion Pit’s stomping maximalism and amped up with throbbing, clubby synths, phasers, and dance-y drum machine.
