As many eagerly await ’s Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix completely remixed album to debut, we have a remix of “Fences,” that you can’t ignore and love.

A completely innovative take on “Fences,” remix diverts from the original to create an almost new song entirely. The Los Angeles (by way of San Diego) based band gives the song a “mope rock” with a trace of punk sound.

The Soft Pack on remixing “Fences”:

“Phoenix are the cool French guys. We recorded our version of “Fences” with Rob Barbato of Darker My Love. Tim from Darker My Love played the cool guitar lead. It was a fun and challenging experience.”

According to many in the music world, Phoenix has made some very good decisions this year, including this forthcoming remix album (could not agree more). The album will debut in the US digitally on October 13 via Glassnote/Loyaute.

I usually hate remixes but the ones of Phoenix songs, mainly from Woflgang, are amazing.
also, that picture is incredibly cool.

That song is fucking horrible. The remix done of Litszomania on the PMA podcast is truly amazing. This one, complete failure.

I was certain that I loved everything that Phoenix touches always. Except this song. Boo. So bad.
