PS:

Just wanted to point a couple of things out:

1) Veckatimest hasn’t been released yet, so I’m not sure if it counts… but so many of you have put Veck as one of your favorites, I just might let it slide.

2) EPs are fine. So are compilations

3) UK / US releases are interchangeable

4) Manners isn’t out.. nor has it leaked, it’s sort of silly for you to put it up on here. Every other song, aside from The Reeling could suck balls. You wouldn’t know pmaCAST #10: This Time Youre Gonna Break Down The Walls pmacast feature music mp3 giveaways

Oh Luis, why did you force (well, kinda :D ) me to make a list of all the great albums :O

Well.. my number three is kind a surprise for me:
3. Cursive – Mama, I’m Swollen
I haven’t listened to this band before but this album is really worth listening too more then once! Anguish, anguish, anguish…
On to number two:
2. The Decemberists – Hazards of Love
Just listen to the album and say that you don’t like it ;) Seventeen tracks of awesome Indie Rock!
AND the one who takes place number one is…
1. Röyksopp – Junior
Brilliant voices that gets your attention and makes you want to hear more! The made a great step from their other to albums to music that pierces your heart and gives you that warm and fuzzy feeling (or maybe I’m alone with that? lol.) I’m really looking forward to “Senior” coming later this year! :)

But let’s not forget all the other great albums released in 2009 (not in any particular order):
The Whitest Boy Alive – Rules
Matt & Kim – Grand
Metric – Fantasies
Handsome Furs – Face Control
Yeah Yeah Yeah’s – It’s Blitz
Fever Ray – Fever Ray [I love Karin]
Franz Ferdinand – Tonight: Franz Ferdinand
Lily Allen – It’s Not Me, It’s You
White Lies – To Lose My Life [number 4 ;) ]

2.Frankmusik – Complete Me. the sampler is amazing! and he has so many covers and others creeping around the net that are very good too…
3. A-Trak – Infinity +1, i know its a mixtape/compilation, but its gonna be dope and it had a dose of A-trak in every minute that plays by.

Luis – I see what you’re saying about “Manners” (it is on my list), but given Passion Pit’s track record so far, I’d be a betting woman and double down on it being very good. Phoenix’s album isn’t out yet either, but it is also showing up a lot. I wanted to put Empire of the Sun’s “Walking on a Dream” on my list, but didn’t know if it counted because it was released in 2008 in Australia but nowhere else until 2009.

Number one at this point would have to be NASA’s ‘Spirit Of Apollo’. SOme of the collabs on there are jut amazing; Tom Waits & Cool Keith, RZA & John Frusciante, and my favourite – George Clinton & Chali 2na.

Number two would be Dan Auerbach’s solo album ‘Keep It Hid’. It’s pretty much a continuation of The Black Keys’ sound, but it has some really improved songwriting and changes in tempo which keep it really dynamic. And damn, is he a great guitarist.

Number three really has me stumped. Not a fan Of Lily Allen, or electro really. Dislike Animal Collective like no man should, but do. I think for numver three I’ll go with The Lonely Island boys’ ‘Incredibad’, solely for Natalie Portman. She’s pretty great.

Pick me for win!
