pmaCAST #8 The “Gimme That Hot, Hot Love” Episode

Click on the turntable on the left to listen to a continuous stream of music featured on Pretty Much Amazing - updated every day. For more, you can check out the Best Songs of 2012.

opens up this week’s podcast with a double introduction. Three Leaves and a Head’s remix of “Reckoner” is a marvelous set of lulling, dramatic pianos and snaps. It leads in stealthily to In Rainbows‘ crackling and GRAMMY-famous “15 Step.” follows Radiohead with an early demo of the beautiful “Samson.” This song is easily my favorite song off her album, Begin To Hope. From an established pop elite to a poppy act that has plenty of potential, I proudly play Asteroid Galaxy Tour’s “Around The Bend.”

If you listen closely, you’ll notice that this episode’s title is derived from “Around The Bend.” It’s just a great song. From here on, things get a bit heavier, you’ll notice I continue/close the pmaCAST with a handful of remixes. This podcast couldn’t be possible without RCRD LBL and Notes From A Different Kitchen who so graciously provided us with tracks that were vital to this podcast.

Great podcast once again. I officially want to declare the Miike Snow remix of The Kids Don’t Stand a Chance the track of the week, what an amazing remix that is, right now my iTunes is indicating 58 listens and I’ve only had it since it appeared on RCRD.LBL_

The reason I love your podcast is that there’s always some tracks in it that I somehow missed. Don’t know how you manage to find all of those tracks but you’re certainly doing a great job.

Great podcast, maybe you should do a podcast with your alltime favourites some time, I know I would really enjoy that. Well, actually I don’t know but I think I would and I’m very curious on what you consider the best made tracks of all time.

On another subject, what the fuck happened to BLOG WARS? I was enjoying that but I haven’t seen it for almost a month now.

That’s my fault — I was/am supposed to do the final one, but I kept putting it off. You actually might see it up today..

your best podcast yet! first two radiohead remixes were perfect… i was surprised at first that you put them back to back, but their low to high energies complemented each other so well!
