The title track on UK dubstep producer Joker’s debut-full length The Vision was already good enough, thanks to its hyper-complex electro beat of masterfully intertwined arpeggios and a powerhouse vocal performance from Jessie Ware, but now that Indiana rapper Freddie Gibbs has added his two cents to “The Vision (Let Me Breathe)”, it might be the best thing you’ve heard this week.
Gibbs’ performance is fantastic, indicative of his talent – he effortlessly follows Joker’s multifaceted beat, sticking to its awesome complexities without letting it outshine the smooth, deft flow he brings to each verse. You’ll want to listen a couple times.
