Remix A Day: The Killers Spaceman (Steve Aoki & The Bloody Beetroots Remix) remixes music mp3
A remix a day keeps the doctor away, and the doctor lalala-LOVES this remix

Because we are focusing more on upcoming musical releases around here, new remixes get the short end of the PMA stick, sadly. I am determined to devote one post a day on new remixes, instead of bunching 10+ remixes in bulk. That has become somewhat tacky. Click here to read all of our Remix-A-Day remixes.

I always thought that “Spaceman” was a fantastically danceable second single. Sure, it was Killers danceable, but danceable nonetheless. As enjoyable it was to rock out to “Spaceman,” what Steve Aoki and The Bloody Beetroots have done with it is nothing short of a godsend.

This wonderboy team didn’t transform the song into an unrecognizable ode to electro-rock with a Brandon Flowers acapella sprinkled on top — they left what made “Spaceman” so good in the first place well alone. It’s great to see remixers that keep the organic goal of making a song dancefloor-friendly alive. It shouldn’t always be about recreation or re-imagination.

It’s a pretty easy remix but it works. This might get a couple of spins over here.

I absolutely love that photo. BFlo was made for GQ!

Oh and this remix is so simple and likeable. Thanks

Hmm.. Brandon Flowers’ cuteness aside, maybe this remix is a little too simple. Steve Aoki and the fucking Bloody Beetroots?! These guys could have made a monster remix for Spaceman.

Yeah, I’ve been into sweet, simple remixes as of late, but I totally get where you’re coming from Chris. If they really tried to make a monster remix, they could have definitely nailed it, but maybe “Spaceman” isn’t the best subject for their monster remixing abilities.

X, you have a point!

Just saw The Killers play at VFest09. Fucking awesome live, but nothing unexpected, really. I am positively in love with BF though – snaps to the image you used.
Looking forward to hearing the remix. I am a bit of a remix slut. Thanks for posting, L.
