Rihanna & Lady GaGa – Silly Boy [UPDATED]

This is the first legitimate release has made in a long while, and with no less! Though there is no official word about “Silly Boy,” the song’s lyrical content and the inclusion of has me thinking that “Silly Boy” was recorded not to long ago and probably in a hurry. Is this record Rihanna’s long awaiting comeback single? Does she really want to go with a Chris Brown diss as the first single of her new album? I guess I better question is why does this song blow so hard?

Considering Rihanna and Lady GaGa’s latest offerings, “Silly Boy” sounds remarkably silly and dated. Listen for yourself.

UPDATE: Lady GaGa (via Kanye West) says it is not her on the track. So it’s only Rihanna making the stupid career move. That’s a relief.
UPDATE #2: Rihanna denies song is hers. So that’s that… you can still listen to it below.

To be honest, it doesn’t sound like either of them. This is probably just a demo that was sent to Rihanna and now all the bloggers just take it and assume this is her next single. I don’t think we’ll really be hearing from her until her song off of Timbaland’s Shock Value 2 comes out. Until then, let’s stop trying to cloud her return with the handful of unproduced demos with her name barely attached…

Silly and outdated doesn’t even begin to cover it.

So true Thomas. This sucks beyond comparison, though what Kikiz says makes sense… but it DOES sound like Rihanna autotuned.

This definitely doesn’t sound, vocally, like either one of them. Soundwise, it has a lot in common with Gaga tracks, but not anything that Rihanna would do now. Take “Whipping My Hair” for example. It’s a lot more subtle, almost Prince-like (although, again, I have to whip out the J*Davey comparison).

MSN.com just posted that Rihanna’s reps are also denying it is Rihanna. So obviously its not her, their not just going to abandon a song if it is hers.

If you ask me it actually sounds like Natasha Beddingfield and it might actually fit her style more. To me it sounds nothing like either of the girls.

Sounds like utter shit, not surprised that it isn’t them.
A track from them would be cool though.

ITS A FAKE – both Rihanna and Lady Gaga have announced that it’s not a real track from either of them.

It’s fake, but whoever did it, I kinda actually like it.

It’s sounding dated but it’s just a surprisingly good song in my opinion.
hints of a Rihanna sound-alike, but you can tell it’s not her or GaGa on this.
