I don’t think her new album will be hiphop trash, she’s talked about doing a sort of Blur thing I think, has mentioned she’d like to do something like the Last Shadow Puppets, and said she recorded a “pretty” song called Live In Love In Pain w/ Diplo & Switch. Hip-hop songs generally aren’t pretty imo.

he resurgence of M.I.A.â€™s Kala album, which is two years old, is crazy. That album has been in the rotation for so long, and then all of the sudden the hip hop world finds it. It would be like the rock community just discovering Late Registration and Gold Digger becoming one of the top songs in the country.
