As promised, here is covering my favorite track “A Cause Des Garcons” or “Because of Boys.” I love Robyn and all, but her cover of “A Cause Des Garcons” doesn’t come close to ’s cover of “Who’s That Girl.” But at least we have a better idea of what we’ve been jamming out to every time we listen to “A Cause Des Garcons.”

I kid. I’m very glad iTunes made this happen. This was the second pair of singles released through their Foreign Exchange series. First up was +44 and Wir sind Helden. I have high hopes for possibly future installments.

I really like how she made this her own, but still kept true to Yelle’s electro sound.

Sounds tooooooooo much like her Teddybears cover. Not cool. Come on, Robyn, that was so three years ago! RELEASE SOMETHING COMPLETELY NEW!

yea. Yelle’s cover blows this out of the water. :(
no wonder Robyn isn’t relevant anymore

I was super pleased for the exchange since I love both of them. While Yelle’s was very awesome, I think that it was a bit….lazy(?) of Robyn not to go completely original. using Cobrastyle’s backbeat makes it sound more like a fan cover version than an actual version. Why couldn’t she make a new beat for it?
