Last fall, anonymous London producer SBTRKT disclosed plans to collaborate with Hertfordshire indie dance outfit Friendly Fires on his second album. Sounds great, but with a second album not really expected until much later, this Friendly Fires cover is the next best thing.

Setting up camp at BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge studio, SBTRKT and Sampha (the boys are inseparable aren’t they?) took on “Blue Cassette”, an early favorite from FF’s latest, Pala. Sampha’s vocals are stunning, as always. We expect big things from him in 2012.
