Schoolboy Q made lifelong fans in us last year when he made that Menomena sample in Habits and Contradictions jam “There He Go” sound totally badass, but he’s securing his position as one of our new favorites with this track that’s ostensibly about our favorite bitter greens, or, at least, one of the best weed euphemisms out there. “Collard Greens,” which’ll wind up on Q’s forthcoming record Oxymoron, gets some help from fellow Black Hippy dudes Kendrick Lamar and the producer THC, to great effect – that sneaky, skittery beat feels like it’s lurking around a dark corner, giving Q and Kendrick plenty of room to drop smart, braggy bars. Check it out — download “Collard Greens” on iTunes.
